Warning! This post contains content related to my daughter's bathroom habits. This is just my experience with this particular product. I am not a medical professional. Just sayin' . . .
My daughter has always issues with her stomach. Certain foods, certain situations would set off "tummy issues" and we would be confined to areas within dashing distance to the potty. Her bowels were unpredictable, it's contents varying from (TMI) rabbit pellets to explosions. Stomach bugs would have long lasting effects after she had recovered. Consulting with her doctor, he wasn't worried and assured me that some kids' digestive systems got sent more "out of whack" by stomach viruses. He suggested giving her Stoneyfield yogurt...the YoKids kind. (He was VERY adamant that it be this brand. It's good stuff...highly recommend it!)
Then, when I was at Target one Saturday, I spied the Lil' Critter Probiotic Acidophilus Digestion Suport Supplements. Reading the package, I found that this supplement is supposed to help support a healthy digestive system and has 10 times the active cultures of yogurt. (They are also all gluten, egg, peanut, tree nut, and soy free with no artificial flavors or colors.)
I was intrigued, brought them home and started Amelia on the the next morning. Admittedly, she was a little resistant to taking them at first. (I think they may have a "chalky" chewable texture. Not horrible, but it was something that she had to get used to.) After the first two weeks, I was amazed. The instances of "bad poops" were almost nil. Now, two months in, Amelia takes her "tummy vitamins" every morning without fail and has had no issues whatsoever.
These supplements are a must have in our household without a doubt. I highly recommend them for any little ones recovering from stomach bugs or those who are plagued with tummy troubles.

Found your post on Lil Critters. We have my two year old taking it to help with the opposite problem... constipation!
I'm guessing good bacteria is good for one or the other!
Thanks for the post!
